Vanessa Barboni

Vanessa Barboni heads Fixed Income Emerging Markets Sales in New York for Morgan Stanley. Prior to assuming this role in 2015, she spent twelve years in trading, most recently leading Latin America Local Markets Trading (ex-Brazil). She has also had trading management responsibility for a number of other businesses in New York including, non-Japan Asia Emerging Markets Trading, Short-end Interest Rate Trading for developed markets, and joint responsibility for a cross-asset emerging markets portfolio.

Vanessa started her career in foreign exchange options trading after graduating from Cornell with a B.A. in Economics. As part of her personal focus on philanthropy, Vanessa co-leads one of Morgan Stanley’s NYC public school partnerships in coordination with PENCIL.org and works closely with Pro Mujer to help bring the benefits of capital and soft infrastructure to women and their families in many of Latin America’s underserved communities.
