Carla Buffulin Joined AIG in 2014 as a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for the Emerging Markets Asset Class. Carla was formerly a Senior analyst at Oppenheimer Funds Inc where she had responsibility for managing the Global EM Corporate sleeves of International Fixed Income for portfolios with AUM exceeding $10 billion. Over the course of her tenure at Oppenheimer, Carla successfully diversified Oppenheimer's EM portfolio to incorporate EM corporates. Prior to Oppenheimer, Carla held senior research positions at Morgan Stanley, BankBoston, Brazil, and Citibank, Brazil. In addition, Carla has extensive experience in structured credit, syndicated loans, private placements and distressed credit. Carla is a specialist in accounting rules and modeling for Pension funds and lease, inflation and currency moves. She received her Bachelors in Business Administration from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas, in Brazil and has broadened her academic background with studies across a range of topics at both the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and the Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
