The launch of a new business has so many parts and involves so many people. One key lesson I have learned so far is to pose the question ‘Who can I ask for help?’ Because I’m not an expert in everything!

Chad, one of my best high school mates, happens to be a brilliant, experienced media man, and can whip around Photoshop like he’s playing piano. After coming up with the idea of BizzyChicks I reached out to him and said ‘can you help me come up with a logo?’ He took me through Brand 101! Here we are brainstorming in my dining room – and having a grand old time while doing it.

What I learned as lesson one: spend time getting clear on the image you want your company to project. Make a long list of adjectives and nouns and verbs. Expect to spend hours / days / weeks getting it formed. And have some fun!
